Hamish Shahani is the Managing Director and CEO of Klenzaids – Member of the Syntegon Group, with over 32 years of experience in designing, building, and commissioning advanced laboratories and pharmaceutical facilities across India and globally. A graduate of Boston University with a Master’s in Manufacturing Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering from the University of Bombay, Mr. Shahani has led projects including India’s first Human BSL-4 facility at the National Institute of Virology, Pune. His leadership experience spans high-containment labs, GMP-compliant pharmaceutical plants, and cutting-edge equipment manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on containment, biosafety, sustainability, and international regulatory standards.
A recognized thought leader and innovator, Mr. Shahani has received the National Technology Day Award and holds patents under the International Patent Cooperation Treaty. He has authored numerous monographs and articles on sterilization, cleanroom systems, and aseptic validation, and is a sought-after speaker at global forums such as ISPE, IPA, and CPhI. His affiliations with prestigious organizations like the American Glovebox Society, ISPE, and the International Institute for Sustainable Labs reflect his commitment to advancing industry standards.
